Frame recall without going to dealer?

I am curious about my frame, but I really don't want to go to the dealer to have my truck confiscated. My truck is a 2009 2wd RC base/work truck. It was initially sold just west of D.C. in Springfield VA. In 2014 I bought it used (with 55k miles) as it had found its way here to Atlanta GA area. I am the 2nd owner.

Does the frame rust issues extend to 2009 models?

 

The Limited Service Campaign only covers trucks from 05-08. And people that have brought trucks from the north and then moved to the south are having a tough time with dealers to have the trucks fixed.

 

Ok well that's good. So far my frame looks and feels pretty solid, but I really haven't climbed up under the truck to do a close examination.

Dana settled with Tacoma for $25M on the frame issue. So I suspect only the frames manufactured by Dana are part of the campaign. I have no idea if all frames or just a subset were manufactured by Dana.
