in market for front bumper

I recently hit a deer while the air temp was 15deg. needless to say I am in need of a new front bumper head light, and fog lights. (all the plastic shattered due to the cold air temps)

I have a 2007 Tacoma double cab, trd offroad, speed way blue, toytec boss lift with 265/75/16 stt, method nv black

the lighter the bumper the better I don't want to have to take the coil overs out and tighten them down any further then I already have

I am willing to paint the bumper. I would actually prefer to paint it my self to save money and get the finish I want with bed liner..

I like the tube bumpers but I do not like how they expose the metal under the head lights. it looks un finished.
this makes me gravitate to the tube bumpers with filler plates

I am also looking for a bumper that comes with d ring shackles. I do not want full hoop head light guards but I am open to single grill guard hoops. also need to mount my new York state license plate ...

I am also open to plate bumpers as long as that are not too large and bulky, and no winch mount. I don't want a pumper that sits out a foot from the grill. I think it looks silly and look like over kill.

also any suggestions on where to buy a new passenger oem head light at a good price that would be great.

 

just found the pelfreybult hybrid or plate bumpers and like both.
I can order it with a filler plate for the light bar due to be not being ready to order the led bar. and I can get it with out the hoops.
but it looks like I can only get it with winch cut outs...?

also really liking brute force...

 

does any one have a brute force hybrid with fill in plates? cant find any pics of them

i like that a lot. do you have my pics from different angle. for example from the top? so i can see the space between the bumper and the truck? and maybe one from the side. so I can see how the side tube lines up with the body

 

Asking people about bumpers is like asking people what their favorite color is. What ever they have will be close to the best iif not the best and all the other ones will be not nearly as strong or it doesn't have this or do that. Go with what you like, can afford and will do what you want it to.

 

im just trying to make sure im not missing any companies out their. and some of the descriptions are not the best so If they can do something to the bumper to make it do what I want that's great too

I currently have two of these ready to ship within two weeks, but they are both made with winch cutouts. I would be happy to build you one without the winch cutout, that would be no problem. I can also accommodate different upper tubing options. If you would like just a single hoop in the center, it would look just like the one on the red truck without the headlight hoops. My bumpers come with d-ring mounts and a place for the license plate. Let me know if you like the design and are interested in making an order! I do not have a large lead time like many other manufacturers right now.

 

I have come to 2 choices
pelfreybilt or sos concepts

one of my main decision makers is listed below.
does anyone have avec fog lights mounted on their sos bumpers
and does any one have avec lights mounted on their pelfreybilt bumpers?

the high cost of having to use rigids bumps my cost way up compared to using avec

 

I'm not sure about SOS but Pelfreybilt has tabs on each side of their hybrid bumper to mount fogs if Avec has the same style mounts as Rigid it should work. If it was me I'd compare the mounts on the Avec vs Rigid.

 

You might also want to consider weight. You can always weld tabs for any bumper for your lights.

 

I have two avec lights mounted on my SOS bumper, but they're on the top right under the hoop, next time I walk out to my truck I'll get a picture for ya. But check out Newlife's truck. He has tabs welded onto his SOS hybrid with avec lights on it.

all sorted out billy is back up an running 100% was in the process of getting a new phone and new shop at the same time dealing with his father who has terminal cancer..but hes crankin bumpers out again
