thought i would shout out and say hi here, im proud to say i will be a new owner of a 14 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 Manual this week. i havent been in a Toyota in over 5 years, my last Toyota was a 98 RAV4 4x2 two door. my previous vehicle was a 10 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS. what got me to go back to the truck world was, getting new furniture. having to reach out and grab friends is kind of annoying. with how unpredictable our weather can get as well it will nice to have a truck and 4x4, as well as the additional clearance to deal with it. So prior to pick up ive had the dealership do a few things for me

    • TRD Sportshifter
    • TRD Exhaust
    • 17" KMC Enduro - Matte Black
    • N-Fab Step Up Bars - Black

    Stuff ive ordered
    • K&N Intake
    • Bakflip G2 Tonneau Cover

now to finish it off i think i should replace the rubber leaning Heavily towards the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac or go with the BFGoodrich All Terrain KO (would consider KO2, but not out yet... nor in my size)

other stuff i want to do. Considering getting a subwoofer, but at this point in my life i think i can live without it. Supercharger down the road? but the idea of premium fuel in a 90l gas tank is quite frightening. what i REALLY want though is the grill from the 15 Tacoma PRO Series. but i dont know if they will ever get released up here, i may have to source it from a US friend.

Ive been creeping on this site for a week or so no and it has been a great resource! Thanks!

Nice Truck. I plan on doing something similar but in Silver sky metallic...it should be showing up soon. What size of tires are on those 17x9 XD Enduro wheels, are they 265's or 285's? Were the rims touching the front callipers at all?

Nice truck! Just got some Duratracs last month on mine as well and love them. 265/70/17's. I've been thinking about getting the sport shifter too. Had you driven it at all with the stock shifter? I'm interested to know how much of a difference it makes?!

the throws are much shorter, when i test drove it it felt like i was driving a truck. the throws now feel shorter then my Lancer (stock shifter) or similar
