    Good day everyone,
Been lurking for some time in the Audio portion hoping to find an answer to my question. My wife and I recently bought a 2012. The previous owner had a Kenwood Excelon DNN991HD head unit installed http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DNN991H/Kenwood-Excelon-DNN991HD.html?tp=5684 . The truck was equipped with the JL audio package. We are having a malfunction with it at random times, seems to be whenever it feels like it. The unit is tied to the steering wheel controls as well. While driving the unit will switch sources as if the mode button on the steering wheel was pressed. I've ordered the extraction keys to be able to access the unit, because I figure it has to be either a loose connection somewhere or a short. I was wondering if anyone else has had these issues on any of their head units, and if you found the cause and in turn a solution. I'm hoping to have the keys here by Friday so I can get it out an better assess the situation. Thank you for your time

alright ladies and gents, I figured out my first question. There were some wires left out behind the unit that I taped up and now have no problems.
Now I have another question. I have steering wheel controls. The left side has "mode", "track up/down", and "volume". those all work magnificently. The right side has the phone controls. 3 total buttons. one that looks like it should activate voice commands. then 2 that are to answer and hang up a call. those do not do that. they change the mode or track up/down, just like the controls on the left. there is a separate button that comes with the new head unit that activates the voice commands that was nicely put in the little cubby to the right of the steering wheel. is there a way to change that to the steering wheel control and get the answer and hang up buttons to work?
