Hey everyone. New to the forum here so I hope I'm not posting in the wrong forum whatever. Anyways just bought a 2003 Taco in October. Finally getting some goodies for it (Just bought the trail gear rock defense bumper :D ).

But I'd like to do something with my rims next. I just dropped almost $600 on this bumper so I'd like to not blow another load of money if I don't have to. I'm even okay with having something temporary until I can get something a little nicer. I hate how the silver alloy rims look. I'm pretty fond of black rims so thats the objective here.

Normally I would just plastidip them and keep them like that for awhile til I was comfortable buying a set of nicer rims. But my rims are peeling paint and doing that bubbling crap other members have talked about.

So I see my options like this

A.) Fix the chipping, and plastdip them
B.) Spend a little more money and buy some cheaper black rims
C.) The better idea you all will hopefully have :)

    Thanks!
Oh and here are some pics of what my rims are looking like

I would save for the wheels you want. Buy once.

as for your wheels. paint/plasti-dip your current wheels to hide the ugliness and save up for what you really want. I like the 17" TRD Sport wheels powder coated anthracite. good luck.

Save and get what you want. You won't be happy walking out to the truck every morning and seeing something ugly or half ass
