Lately my build has been focusing on my interior and attempting to "modernize" my first gen. This has included sound deadening, bluetooth, compass/temp mirror (with matching amber LED ;)) and so on.

I'd really like to have steering wheel audio controls and I'd like to know if retrofitting a 2nd gen wheel with the controls is overly complicated. The wiring for the controls isn't what concerns me, just the splines on the steering column and correctly hooking up the air bag.

Anyone have any idea/input on this?

Edit: This isn't limited to just a 2nd gen Taco wheel. Any Toyota wheel with controls is on the table. Rav4, 4Runner, etc.

It looks like a 2004+ 4Runner or Land Cruiser wheel would have the ideal controls
