    Hello,

I have a 2011 DCSB. I had my rear sliding window replaced last summer due to a bad seal (whistling noise when fan was on high). I am experiencing popping ear sensation when I have my heat on fan speed 3 or 4. Putting it to recirculate or opening a window solves the problem so I am assuming the fan is bringing in air faster than it can vent it, thus over-pressurizing the cab.

I did a search and thought I had read that the cabin vent was on the back wall of the cab, below the rear siding window. I just pulled off the storage cubbies and theres nothing there that I see. Am I missing something?

Maybe I read it wrong, but where is it?? Also, anyone experience this before and what did you do to fix??

I figured the glass guys covered the vent when they put the new window in so debris wouldn't get in and forgot to remove whatever they used to block it.

    Thanks in advance!

Hmmmm. Ok. Thanks. I thought someone, in one of the threads I'd found, indicated it was that indent in the middle of the back of the cab. Maybe they moved it at some point??

bump. Anybody? I reached in behind cab and can feel air coming out of the cabin vent and also the holes in the bottom of the cab in the back. Still making my ears pop!

    Thanks.

This thread got me thinking. When I close my doors, I can literally see the rear window pop out a little bit. And the rear window leaks. I wonder, if at some point the prior owner had the rear window replaced, they covered the vent. When the doors close, causing the rear window to push outward, maybe it broke the seal? When I get a chance I'm going to look around in the back myself.

never even thought about there being a cabin pressurizer vent thingy.

Vent is dead center just under the bed rail on my 2nd gen. You can see it from underneath. It's tight. You really can't get at it.

I've had 3 Tacomas, the cab was like that on all 3. Just the nature of the beast. You can actually hear the sound of the air change when bringing in fresh air when you crack a window. It's a tight truck.
