Heading down to Georgia on 3/26/15 for my wife's cuz wedding.
Leaving pittsburgh pa and heading thru WV, Va, Tn and ending in Ga.

Looking for personal experiences and things to do or see along the way. Want to make it exciting not just driving 700 miles to see someone get married. Great guy just don't really know him.

    Have one set already.
    1. Rock city gardens in northern Ga.
Or any fab shops that are along this route to save me shipping lol. :)

Enjoy the views of the mountains. I just finished a similar drive from Lancaster, PA to Asheville, NC. I love the drive specifically because of the endless mountains once WV begins.

Yeah defiantly love the views. Plus this is a great excuse to the wife for me to buy a shell with a roof rack

Depends on your viewpoint, but you might get disappointed with Rock City, although it is probably worth seeing at least once. Kind of a an antiquated man-made tourist trap by today's standards, but still some nice views. There are also other attractions in Chattanooga, like the aquarium and probably some others I don't know about.

Some big Civil War national parks in that area too if that interests you. And no limit of stuff once you get to the ATL.

camper shell with yakima rack, derped badges and grille emblem, new car scent air freshener, too many to list obviously...
If your into beer Atlanta has quite a few cool breweries that do regular tastings/tours with live music possibly. That time of year it should be nice to be outside so you should be able to find some festivals going on.

I am into beer, sounds cool. I'm sure we will be all over Atlanta with her cousins while we are there. We are staying in kennesaw which is where rehearsal dinner wedding and reception is.

I used to live in kennesaw back in college. Went to kennesaw state university right near where you're staying.

Kennesaw mountain national battlefield (civil war) is close by just down barrett parkway. I see you're staying on busbee near the mall. Go check out Taco mac on chastain rd right by your hotel, they have a huge selection of beers (100+ on tap). Barrett parkway has every chain restaurant you can think of. If you're looking for some local restaurants, hop on 575N from chastain (exit 2) and head up north 3 exits to exit 8 (towne lake parkway, woodstock). Hang a right and that'll take you into downtown woodstock. There's tons of local (non-chain) restaurants and bars all within walking distance right there in downtown. My wife and I love downtown woodstock.

If you wanna spend some serious coin on an excellent steak, there's a Ruth's Chris right by your hotel.

If you plan to see Rock City, you might as well hit Ruby Falls too. It's right there on the same mountain. http://www.rubyfalls.com/

Like your quote, Eddie...I must be the asshole.

OP, you might want to check out TRS if you have the time and the retrofit inclination.

AndrewTRS is a frequent poster here.
