Is this detrimental to the hubs or what? I've got a 96 and someone told me running locked full time is OK. Right?

The number of posts with conflicting info is hurting my brain.

EDIT: I do mean running them locked while in 2HI

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Not on dry paved roads, no no no! Bad enough running 4wd on pavement let alone lockers, will put everything in a bind and start breaking shit. It's hard on the drivelines, transfer case, differentials, everything that has to do with making it move pretty much.

You're talking about having your hubs locked in but the transfer case still in 2wd right? If so then no not necessarily going to hurt anything but it does put unnecessary wear on some of the front end components I guess but not like it's going to break things. It's pretty much the same as the tacomas that don't have manual locking hubs at that point but I want to say those trucks have a couple extra bearings or something like that to help with the extra wear.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
When I bought my truck the previous owner had left the manual hubs locked full time (probably didn't know how to work them) and my truck is fine.

Leaving the manual hubs locked all the time while driving in 2WD is not any different than the ADD vehicles (those without manual hubs)
