    @MadDaddy:

    The key point to remember is that a spacer lift is a "pure lift". Meaning all you gain is ground clearance. That is it. Nothing else. Will this increase performance? Yes, but only in the fact you miss more rocks. What it won't do: increase wheel travel, increase cargo weight capacity, and it will not increase anything else. IF you drive accordingly you will be fine. You go catching air and it really won't matter if you have spacers or not. I have seen some very expensive suspension systems destroyed on the dunes here in Colorado. Your taco is a machine, it is not invincible. Drive accordingly and you will be just fine.

    No matter what lift you decide on, anything 2.5 inches and under and you should not need UCA's.

    In my humble opinion, the loss in ride quality with a spacer lift is not worth the small amount of frame clearance gained over stock suspension.

    Yeah, why did Toyota even put a non-functioning scoop on my Prerunner? Why does my truck have 17's and not 16's? Why did they tint the windows? Why did they paint it?

    If I was looking for ride quality I would've bought a '65 Galaxy 500, not a Taco. :thumbsup:

    OP: Thanks for the reply. perhaps I should've sent a PM rather than open you up to this keyboard rattling on a nice weekend. I like the cut of your jib. [IMG]
