Sony XAV 712HD Help??

So, I recently had a shop install my Sony xav 712-hd double din.
it works great. however, i feel like there is a compatability issue where i use my apple products. music plays fine. dvd's it plays fine.

my issue is when i choose to play a music video from my iPod. that i purchased from the iTunes store. it will not play sound. or show any video of on the screen.

i have also tried putting the same iTunes music video file on a usb stick with no luck either.

i do have the bypass module so i don't have to have vehicle in park to access these features..

Anyone who has any experience with these units???
that can give me a few pointers?

 

Have you done the latest update on the unit. I have the same head unit and it works gine. If you have latest update try reseting the deck.

 

idk how to reset it. i would assume the update is current. where i just had it installed on the tenth of this month..

i suppose i could reach for the owners manual.. ?

 

Reset button is on the bottom left next to the volume button. Put it in for 3 seconds.
