What year model is your truck? Mine throw a long way on low and a ungodly long way on high?

    A few things
Same here. I just checked my brights a few minutes ago and there is a clear difference between the highs and lows. Honestly I dont know why I would need any more light.

Yup... my drivers side went out a month or so ago. Posted in the LED review thread. I've come to the conclusion that I loved them but they are not as reliable as standard bulbs. I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from buying them or trying them out for yourself but the technology and reliability just isn't there yet.

My main concern is if you are on vacation or somewhere away and one (or both) go out then you are screwed. They are a PITA to install since I had to move the battery and washer tank to have enough access to put them in. It's a 30 min job just to replace them. And lets face it... 90% of us probably don't carry around a spare set of bulbs in our truck. I ended up going back to the zXe bulbs and carry a spare set now. They are just as bright but don't look quite as cool. But... I can replace one in about 5 mins tops in the dark if I have too.

My personal observation is that any bulb that has moving parts is probably not going to last as long.

I emailed the guys who I bought it from...hopefully they will replace them so I can continue using them for the "lifetime" of my truck

I'm sure they will. It just sucks that you are out until the new on arrives.

This and similar possible issues running ballasts for HID is why I just said fuck it and went back to Philips Xtremevision halogens for mandatory lighting on both my vehicles. I'll play around with HID fogs or HID converted Hellas or LED light bars but headlights are just staying halogen. That way I have simple reliable legal mandatory lighting and can have fun toying with optional lighting.
