Hi folks, I'm a newbie I guess and am trying to navigate the many layers of car salesman bs to get to some straight answers.
I'm gonna get a 2015 Tacoma and so far am thinking of the SR5 Access cab with the power package as it will suit my needs perfectly, with one exception/question. I live in the Maritimes and heated seats are a must, the "bs" I was referring to is that I've been in contact with virtually all of the Toyota dealers within 5 hrs of me and of the 6 or 7 all but one told me that heated seats aren't an option in the Tacoma line but that they can install heated seats in the front for around $500-$700.
The one that didn't use that line with me told me that Toyota does offer heated seats as part of any SR5 package or fancier. The Toyota (Canada) main site shows heated seats as standard equip on "Limited" models.
My question is, will heated seats be available on the access cab (suicide doors) SR5 w/pwr pkg or are they telling me the truth and they need to charge for/install them?
I do not want the 4 door.......

    Thanks for any insight

    Buck.

    Welcome fellow Canuck.
It would be unusual if all sales people knew every detail about every model and every trim level of all the vehicles that they sell. They could look it up though as can you of you go to Toyota Canada's site.
From what I can tell, in Canada, heated front seats only in double cab v6 TRD and Limited.

Thanks for the intel guys, I was having a hard time figuring it out since one of my local-ish sales men started telling me that it WAS available standard equip. He was the only one though and it turns out he was wrong in my case.

I ordered a Black 2015 SR5/pwr pkg V6 this week, should be ready by Friday!

The heated seats are the only extra option I wanted from the dealer and since one of the sales guys I talked to worked it into his "best price" thinking they were factory equip the rest of the salesmen I dealt with were kind of obligated to give them up or get off of my list. I made out pretty good I think. Can't wait to get back into a pick up!!

p.s. Thanks for the info re: heated seats. Much appreciated! Keep the rubber side down..... (most of the time!)
