Let me start off by saying I searched a little and wasn't able find any discussion close to what I'm looking for help with.

I have an 08 Tacoma and I recently started picking up some LED bulbs for the exterior as well as an LED compatible flasher relay. The first thing I did was swap the front marker/blinker bulbs out (the corners had already been done and have been working for months without issue). I left the stock Toyota relay in place for this part because I figured the rear stock bulbs would add enough resistance to the circuit to allow it to flash properly, plus I wanted to see how they looked before I stated the rears. So with the LED bulbs in place, I went to hit the hazard button on the dash. One quick split second flash and they stopped working. The hazard switch didn't do anything after this.
Thinking it may be the flasher relay, I took the lower dash apart and got to the relay in back of the fuse block and swapped it out with the LED compatible one. Still the hazard switch didn't work, however now I could hear the clicking in the relay when I used the turn signal switch but no illumination of the exterior lights (LED or stock bulbs, I swapped back just to be sure) or interior dash indicators.
I went over to AutoZone and grabbed a new flasher relay just incase this was the issue, no dice.
So what I'm left with is no directionals and not sure what to check next. Is there a fuse for this circuit (I couldn't find one on either of the fuse blocks or in the manual)? Could it be the switch? If so, Toyota wants over $200 for the whole switch and seatbelt indicator assembly. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just get a V3 Triton Switchback kit. Problem solved.

I wanted to do this without resistors because it was cleaner.

Isn't that what an LED compatible flasher relay is for? No hyper flash because it doesn't sense load.

OP, in the engine bay fuse panel. Between radio no.2 and towing. Trn-Haz 15A fuse. Also, if you don't want to add resistors, there are direct replacement LED lights that have resistors incorporated.

OK, where exactly is the flasher for our Second Gen Tacomas? I just bought one and can't find exactly where it is. Is it a PITA? Don't want to use resistors and I don't have DTRL.
