Some BASTARD hit and ran my truck on Sunday while I was eating breakfast in a local restaurant! Just my luck, no one saw anything and no cameras.

Only 3000 miles on they clicker, not even enough for an oil change yet, and now this! Better yet, $500 deductible!

:( Sorry man ... That sucks. I don't get how people can do that with a clear conscience ... I guess integrity is yet another virtue falling by the wayside these days. :frusty:

That hurts, I worry about that when I get in those parking lots. I now park waaaaay out and walk.

For what it's worth, I alway back into spaces as far as I possibly can so my trucks rear is not hanging out. I try to give those "people" as much space as possible so they don't get to close. - that only works where this is possible of course.

other than that, I park way out there and walk 30 sec more

It really doesn't matter how you park, someone will get you. You can only lower your chances, not eliminate them.

Some people just don't care. I try to park away as well, but I remember my grandfather had just bought a new car, was headed home from the dealer, parked way away from anyone else and someone pulled in next to him and opened the door right into his 1 hour old car.

    Sorry about your truck.

$1,960.69 to repair ... As Andrew Dice Clay says, "SO MANY ASSHOLES, SO FEW BULLETS"!

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Wow. That's horrible to hear. I know your pain of new truck problems. I started getting dings in my doors and side panels from the grocery stores before I even took it off road.

If it's just the lower rear panel, it would be a good time to put in a high clearance bumper

X2. I had some D-bag throw a 2x8 motorcycle ramp straight onto my hood this summer. Perfect imprint of it on the front passenger side corner of my hood. Quoted around two grand for a new hood and repaint& blend. Called Paintless Dent Removal, fixed in about an hour and a half. Way more reasonable money-wise and you can't tell it ever happened.

    Sorry to hear it.

With the damage and estimate it might be worth while considering a high clearance rear bumper. Just a thought.

    Sucks.

Another good reason to carry low deductibles.

I've made more claims because of parking lot damage than anything else.

Sorry man. Take the check and get a HC offroad bumper. The HC rears cut the bedside.

The pic really doesn't do it justice. The stud on the flare is pulled out of the mold, it needs replaced. The lower quarter is creased in 2 spots and the bumper was hit a little. I may be able to live with the bumper, but the QP got it pretty good.

The estimate includes the TRD decal, not sure if they're spraying the whole panel or not. If so, they will have to lift the cap too. They also covered a bumper repaint.

Got my truck back today, as expected, Bob Massey Toyota did a fantastic job. They lifted off the cap, pulled the bed rails, and did it right. It looks like a new one again!
