My 2012 has the standard head unit (non-entune, and without the color screen), and I have no intention of getting a subscription to sat radio. Is there a way to disable the Sirius on the radio so I don't need to skip through it every time I want to switch between the radio/iPod/BT?

I have a 1st Gen, so I'm not speaking from experience, but - speaking from a software development standpoint...

The software written for the radio interface is going to "look" for all the connections it was designed to support - SIRUS being one of them. Even if you physically remove the connector from the radio, the software will still prompt you for SIRUS as it cycles through the interfaces.

That's what I'm guessing as well. I'm going to try unplugging the Sirius antenna to see if that does anything, or perhaps there is some TechStream trickery to turn it off.
