Rigged my outfit with a big "lifting ring" adapted to the box hitch as a recovery point. Then.... I found the ring needed a 1" shackle to have enough throat to fit over the loop. Found the price of a name brand shackle, too rich for me - so I asked the purchasing agent where I work for a clue about where to get one I could afford. He suggested "US Cargo Control" - web site www.uscargocontrol.com and they had quite a selection of shackles. They are sourced from China. When the shackle arrived (marked CHINA) - we took it out back and picked up a full rated load with it (over 8 tons) - didn't squeak or distort in any way - screw pin winds in and out smooth - so I put it in the tool box.
