Help a new guy identify these things on my engine

My truck is a 2012 PreRunner and I'm definitely no mechanic, but generally when I look at an engine I can identify most things. These two things have me stumped though. My Corrolla and my Dodge Ram before that didn't have these (if I remember correctly). Can somebody tell me what they are?

1 should be the air pump for emissions

 

#1 is air pump for smog system. #2 is ABS (brake controller). Air pump is recent addition to Tacoma--don't remember exact year. Not on my 2011

yup, like stated #1 is an air pump that pumps clean air into the exhaust to aid in catalytic processes. (air pump started in 2012)

#2 is the abs unit found on all trucks that are not 2009+ TRD off road 4x4's (with atrac) as the abs unit is built into the different master cylinder on those trucks. (i think it was 09 when atrac became available)
