After totaling my beloved '11 Tacoma, I thought I'd pick up a little something until the "3rd" gen was available to purchase. Since I think it's ugly as shit, I decided to pick something up to have fun with and hold on for a while or even keep. I've always liked the 100 series LC so I started searching up and down for one, but couldn't find one that I wanted. I almost settled for a LX470 since they are much easier to find, but prefered the classic looks of the LC. I was picky on the history, how it was maintained, number of owners, mileage, etc.

I woke up one early Saturday morning and found one newly posted in Austin's Craiglist. I called and a lady answers. Turns out she is the original owner and had a binder full of all service/maintenance records. Everything done at the dealer and garage kept. Even had the original window sticker. Me likey. I asked for more pictures and she glady sent them to me. I liked what I saw so the GF and I drove to Austin for a closer look and ended up bringing it home.

She babied this thing. She didn't even know what the "extra shifter thingy" was for and has never used it. It works as it should, though. No rear e-locker, but it was too nice to pass up. I can always add an ARB(s) if I need to, but I doubt I'll do any type of wheelin' where I would need it.

I don't "plan" to do that much to it and want to keep it simple.

    So far:

*Front and back Weathertech Liners including cargo- Done

*Ordered 100sqft of Fatmat Rattle Trap and Magamat.- On the way.
I'm going to deaden the whole thing.

    Near future:

    *Remove the running boards.

*Full roof rack from Gamiviti. www.gamiviti.com

*OME 1.5-2" lift with Slee diff drop.

*285/75/16. I'm leaning towards General Grabber AT2 and keeping the stock alloys.

*Going to delete the fake wood grain or replace it with a darker shade since it's faded. Undecided.

*Upgrade the stock stereo. Thinking about a Pioneer AVH-x2600BT headunit. The price is attractive and I can add a backup camera to it. Will also change out all the speakers/sub, just not sure which ones yet. I already have a JL 5 channel amp that I'll use for them.

*We'll see what I decide on later.

    You'd like that, wouldn't you. :D

The Weathertech liners fit beautifully as one would expect. The cargo liner however, fit like crap. I thought they had sent me one from a 4Runner my mistake. I returned it and ordered one of these.

    http://www.amazon.com/Trimmable-Cus...F8&qid=1422283426&sr=1-1&keywords=cargo+liner

After some minor trimming, it should fit nice and tight like I want.

My Rattletrap and Megamat arrived last night. :D

Also ordered the rack today. Should be about 4-5 weeks before I see it.

    Been getting PM's on updates.

    Nothing big since.

*Got a Gamiviti roof rack on.
*Sound deadened the doors and rear cargo area including floors.
*swapped all guage bulbs to white LEDs
*removed OEM running boards and have sliders on order.
*Been doing lots of PM work.
*have a new wood grain kit dash kit going in this week. Bling bling
    *ordering a RTT soon
*an aluminum rack hanging from the ceiling in the cargo area coming soon for more
    storage.
*on board air and fridge coming soon.

I've decided to just level it with 285's that are going to be ordered soon.

Decided against a OME kit and going with FOX shocks. I think they'd be just right for what I plan on using this rig for. Probably still doing the slee diff drop.

Sticking with the stock stereo and spending that $$ on communications.

My goal is basically getting prepared for a trip in July called 100s in the Hills in Ouray, CO.

I'll post pics of what I have tomorrow or so.

    Cheers

Just wanted to share some pics from the annual 100s in the Hills this past weekend. Took place in Ouray/Telluride, Colorado. The trip was amazing and unforgettable. Riding these trails really gave me an idea of what I want to do next. Other than that, it did really well in mostly stock form.
