Oh, I see that now. I have an almost identical box of actual 22 mag. Love shooting those rounds out of my single six hunter convertible.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.

Always wanted a a Six after shooting a friend's. He bought it second hand and only had the LR wheel. I am sometimes a shooter of 22wmr. Great for prairie dogs and coyotes. I have presently robbed optics off of both of my rifles for other projects :anonymous: and have not had them out for a bit.

Sounds like you need a bolt action rifle and a swing gate revolver. :)

Man I hope I don't burn through that in one afternoon... Why must I have such expensive hobbies!

You either shoot very rarely, or you have a MUCH better paying job than I do!

Just finished my weekly bullseye practice. I'm pretty psyched because I shot high master scores for Slow fire 25 yard pistol on half of my targets. Sucked eggs on a few others, though.

Any of you guys members at West Coast Armory?

May have just ordered another 880 rounds of 7.62X54r :anonymous:
That'll get me over 2000 rounds of long-term storage ammo for the new (to me) Mosin.

Usually I go shooting with friends, and we'll generally shoot the shit as much as we shoot the guns. There's lots of harassment if someone drops a round well off center, or doesn't get that steel to ring downrange, haha!

    Painful?

Damn, not bad! I only have about 600 rounds on standby for the Mosin.

One of the advantages of living in a state with an AG who doesn't give a shit about online ammo sales, I guess. Sportsman's guide was selling the 440 round spam cans for $90 apiece last week, plus I had a coupon from the first order, so I ordered 2 of them last week. Then I got a coupon in my email for flat $5 shipping yesterday, so I ordered two more cans. I figure I'll get it while it's cheap, since 2200 rounds will last me a very long time. And the spam cans are nice because they're good practically forever.
The biggest problem is that all of my recent ammo purchases means that I've started running out of lockable storage space. Previously I'd had room in the gun safe, but I've rearranged my ammo/gun storage 3 times in the last month to make stuff fit and I'm pretty sure that now I'm completely out of space for more.

What do you guys use for secure ammo storage besides a gun safe? I REALLY don't feel like getting another safe (I already have two of them) or getting one of the ginormous ones that takes three people to move when it's empty...

If you just want to lock up ammo, use an ammo can. Just drill some holes and add a lock.

I've done this and mounted the ammo cans to my truck bedrail. I don't use them for ammo, but that is neither here nor there.

If iterested, I can take some pictures.

I have ammo cans; I'm looking more for something that would discourage the average retard burglar looking for TV's and laptops and whatnot. I want something secure enough that he can't just pry the lid off or kick it in with a boot, and heavy enough that he can't just pick it up and carry it off to work on opening later in the comfort of his shitty apartment.
So ammo cans won't work because they're light enough to carry even when they're stuffed to the gills.
And I want something more rugged than a big plastic tote, haha!

I keep enough ammunition on hand that if I can fit it all into one solid container that container will weigh enough to be virtually impossible for even two people to move unless they're both built like The Ahnold in his prime. I just don't know what to use for a container other than ANOTHER safe, haha!

Edit: I was thinking about maybe something like this, but it doesn't look all that rugged. I suppose I could always just throw a blanket over it and stack some books on top to disguise it.

    Lol.

I'd prefer if I could move them. Besides, my ammo and safes are in the cellar; I'm not boring holes in my concrete floor down there just so I can bolt down 50 ammo cans all over the floor.
