If you want to call them oveoad springs..... they are soft for sure..

The newer trucks went to coil rear and load better than the older springs plus ride a lot better.
I do not know the weight of the 5th wheel but on a 2005 I thing it was, last batch of 5.9 3500 SRW vs the 2014 2500 the older one dropped almost 2.5 to 3" more than the new one with coils. And the coils ride better. Firestone even makes drop in air bags takes about 10 min to install.
My 1996 CTD was like a brick. 2003 was better.

I think we should all learn to get along here. If you don't like the topic, find another one.

Trucks have an overload spring. Overload springs on each leaf would be redundant ;).

My 2013 Dodge 2500 has rear coils. It rides like shit. Even worse than my buddies 2011 Ram 2500. Coils also lead to a very comlicated rear suspension setup that isn't payoff for what it give you. Trust me. It sucks.

Dodges come with airbags... but only if you spend more than 45K on your truck. I'd never pay that much for a Dodge. It costs the same amount to install airbags on a Toyota, so why are you whining about the lack of them on this thread if you would install them on a heavier truck too?

. I had to post the lock. It's coming. Eventually all good, and amazing in this case, threads where someone makes a complete idiot of themselves must come to an end.
