I have family in Toledo. Watch out for pick-pockets, they are really good.. Most people go sight seeing; some of the older architecture is really cool.

Spend a couple of days exploring all the different Gaudi locations. Some pretty amazing stuff. Years ago you could go up the towers of La Sagrada and look out over the city.

Las Ramblas is also a lot of fun and make sure you spend your evenings strolling through that area and the gothic quarter.

If you have time you can take a train out and visit the Dali Museum. Its worth it.

If you want to get some hiking in Montserrat is very cool as well.

Thanks for the tips. I will definitely be checking out Gaudi's work as well as Las Ramblas - our hotel is actually right by that street.

Hasn't heard about Montserrat - I'll have to check that out for sure!!

Go see a Barca game at Comp Nou It has to be a fantastic experience. I plan to go on January 11 and see Barca - Athletico Madrid. Tickets are available on internet and have them delivered to you-re hotel. Las Ramblas is the main, or principal boulevard and the Gothic quarter is a nice area next to the port
You will like it, if you have the time take the high speed train and see Madrid as well.

Thanks a lot! Unfortunately there are no games while I'm there, but I have booked a tour of the Comp Nou stadium and am looking forward to it!

How was this trip? We will be over there in July for a week prior to a mediterranean cruise.
