Looking to buy a new used truck
Looking for the $0-$7,000 range
prefer 6 cyl
4x4
ext cab
tow a small trailer to alaska

Any advice on engines and their potential problems?
Or other issues with the trucks. I am mechanically knowledgable so to fix things on the road wouldn't be a problem if it was fixable. What should I be concerned about in the 1996-2000 year makes?
