    :D

so my wife had a flat so i told her to go to our favorite discount tire store. that was my first mistake. saw some good looking all terrain tires over there.

second mistake was getting bored at work so i logged on TW again and saw more goodies to buy.

I hate my bfg rugged terrain and now I'm torn between at 265/70/17 toyo ATII and the Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Im not going to off road , mainly just driving 15 miles each way to work both highway and regular stop and go streets. main concern is the wet road since I leave in texas and don't really get but maybe 2 days of ice.

    any suggestions?

my main issue that i read with the Nitto is that they don't come with mileage warranty.

    HAHA! TW gets everyone!

As far as your question, I think that you answered your own question. I always go for the warranty. As long as the reviews on the tires check out, I'd go with toyos. I have Cooper A/T3's and absoultely love them both in the rain and snow/ice

I would definitely go with the Toyo ATII's. I have the Terra Grapplers on my Ram 3500 and they are a decent tire, however I just bought them because the ATII's were back-ordered at the time. I've heard the Grabbers wear pretty quick also.

I really like my nitto trail grapplers.

They are great off-road and pretty good on it. Not too much noise on the road and they seem to be wearing pretty well

I just put Toyo's on my truck last week. I like them so far. They have more road noise than the Bridgestones I had on the truck but no big deal. Nothing normal radio levels don't fix. :D

Getting the Toyo's put on my truck in a couple hours. Reviews led me to them. There were some who said they were noisey, but I can't believe anything would be louder than the Michelin LTX M/S (not the M/S2) that came with the truck when I bought it used.

Toyos are way better, thicker sidewall and overall better look and to me better handling. I had the Nittos before and didn't really like them so I'd go for the ATIIs

looks like i took a wide left turn and going with 265/70/17 General Grabber AT2. Read some reviews and ratings out there plus the 60k warranty and the overall looks also.

my guy at discount tires is giving me all four installed and balanced with lifetime rotation for $683 out the door tax included, or $732 if i buy the certificate/road hazzard warranty...

question now is to get the road hazzard or not?

I've been over researching tires this week and I remember seeing that the Nitto G2 had a warranty on them. Not sure if that was also an option over the original. I'm leaning towards Toyo simply because they offer an SL option. My DD doesn't see much offroad so a D or E would be overkill for me.

Do you have BFG Rugged Terrains or the OEM BFG Rugged Trails? The OEM Rugged Trails are crap tires, this is the first I've heard of anyone not liking the Rugged Terrains.

The G2s start at 17" rim. I spoke to regional guy on the phone and there isn't an ETA for 16".
