These are off my 08, been on the truck for a few months. Few days ago I had the not-so-bright idea to take them off and repaint them.
Didn't go so well.

These are the fiberglass eyelids purchased off of ebay.

As you can see in the pictures, there are cracks in the eyelids (no, not actual cracks. Cracks in the paint).

I had sanded them down to what I thought was smooth, but apparently not. These have 2 coats of primer on them and two coats of 040 colormatched paint from Automotivetouchuppaint.com. The paint is an exact match on my 08.

I was going to use these on my truck, but I am very picky and could not deal with a non-smooth paint job.

I RECOMMEND STRIPPING/SANDING/REPAINTING/WHATEVER ELSE YOU GENIUS PEOPLE DO BEFORE USING THESE!

If you know how to fix these and want to take the time to do so, these are the eyelids for you.
...or if you just don't care and want to use them how they are.

edit* just viewed these pictures on the computer and there are black dots in every picture on the eyelids.. those are not actually on the eyelids. Not sure where the dot came from
