DDMTuning HID kit in Headlights & Fog Lights, Billet grill, Took off air intake, K&N Filter, Tint, Vent visors, Amp and Speakers. URD fuel pump kit. 131k Miles Fix/change: Compass/Temp, did the Transmission Flush, rear dif oil, cut tail pipe off, fog light fix. Coming soon: Dash light led change.
So, for months now most every morning when I go to crank it, it cranks up funny, like it missing. After a few minutes, its fine. So, Ive been wanting to order the URD kit, just haven't had the extra cash laying around. Today, while driving, it was running funny, kinda missing, some vibrations from the motor area, kinda wouldn't get above 55mph. Any ideas to what the real problem is here??? 195677 miles, did the tranny flush 2 years ago, air intake, I changed the plugs 2 yrs ago. 05 TRD Sport, Pre-Runner. Not sure if its the cat converter, plugs, tranny or just the fuel pump system. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance
    Jody

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
New plugs would be a good start.

The vibration is whats throwing me off, missing, sputtering, vibrating, 20-30 seconds after cranking, then today for like 4-5 miles on the way home.

I wouldn't think that much vibrating would come from a bad plug or two. Just trying to see if there's a definite answer to the problem.

I think that you might have warped something. Or the tranny is gone altogether it is relatively high mileage hope this helps

This is just a guess but maybe bad gas or the fuel pump on its way out.

Update: replaced fuel pump with the URD kit, changed plugs, pcv valve. Thoroughly clean the entire intake throttle body and she's running like a raped ape!! Just waiting for the auto-rx to show up now. I had a couple plugs that was oily gummy, not sure why, but I think the culprit was the pcv.

No pcv wouldn't cause that all that does it recirculate un burnt fuel fumes back into your intake and into the motor. More then likely its a sensor IAC can do it if the MAF gets dirty that can do it. You could have had carbon build up in the throttle body making the pilot stick. Problem like that almost 100% of the time are just basic maintenance issues.

If you have a bad pcv value it usually will leak oil into your manifold and cause havoc and dirty everything up.
