    Howdy Everyone,

I have always loved the Tacomas and was finally able to get one last year. I've been meaning to join this site since, but have been working to much :)

I got rid of the wife's 99 Corolla and bought a 2013 Tacoma Double Cab with the TRD Off-Road package and black step rails (they were on it).

I'm looking for suggestions on some equipment, I posted a question already on bed cover and tailgate lock suggestions as I need to get one ASAP.

I'm wondering if anyone has any "decal" suggestions? I have twins, one who's favorite color is Blue, the other is opposite, so I'm thinking of something RED, but not sure I'll do it. I was wondering about the tailgate maybe or the sides?

Then I'm thinking of seat covers because although this seat material is far better than the 2006 Highlander my wife has with Beige cloth interior, the kids do now and then get some stuff on the seats. Anyone know of good covers that aren't a fortune and don't look bad? Also was thinking of maybe some other things like the visors for the windows, just not sure on the slip in type or the stick on type? Then maybe some other stuff, I'm open for ideas to make it look even better :)

    Thanks!
    Jake

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
The seat material is pretty durable, I'm doing the opposite, waiting for my kids to not be so messy before adding seat covers or putting in leather Katzkin seats. It seems a lot of people really like the wet okoles seat covers for being durable and easy to clean.
As far as window visors, I have no clue, never really had the desire to have them.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to narrow down the choices for seat covers.

I know the Web Okole's are very popular, then it seems that the Marathon, Saddleman, and CoverKing.

    Hi,

I'm trying to narrow down the seat covers and I'm down to WO, CoverKing, and maybe CalTrend or Marathon?

I know WO is supposed to be "the best" for Neoprene, and I can't afford the leather, although someplace recommended http://www.steelcraftautomotive.com/leather_seat_cover.html

They seem to be pretty inexpensive for "leather seat covers"?

I know WO seems to be the most popular on here, and after looking at the price of the CoverKings on Amazon, they are very close, how's Caltrend or Marathon?

Also, I'm not sure which seats I have, I don't see an airbag "Tag" on the seats in the front, how do I know if it's the fold down passenger side seat or the other type?

+1000 for Marathon seat covers! I just bought a new TACO yesterday and I am purchasing my seat covers for it today. I had Marathon seat covers on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from its first month. They have suffered being sunk/covered in mud, left open to the elements... run in the rain, sat many days in direct sunlight... and there has been no fading, tearing, cracking, and NO STRETCHING! I have had kids, dogs, tool boxes and my work boots climbing all over those covers.

I just removed them last night to sell them separately instead of letting them go with my Jeep trade-in and they are still like new 4 years later. The seats were in pristine condition and actually helped the resale value because Jeep seats are the first thing to really degrade in the vehicles. Seriously... Go with Marathon. You will NEVER buy another. Just make sure you spend the extra $$$ for the seat front and back pockets, headrest covers, and center console cover. You won't regret it brotha! (Just please wait until tomorrow to order yours so I can get mine faster since they are all custom made to order:D)

Awesome, can't get a better recommendation than that! I love the Jeeps, why did you switch? The convenience of the truck bed? You going to mod the truck to?

Well... I grew up. I had the first "Black Ops" Jeep model, predominantly because I was a hardcore Black Ops player. There's probably still videos on youtube of people trying to prove I was hacking (never did). But I realized how much of my life I had wasted gaming and game em all up. A year and a half later I was still known as "That Black Ops guy" and I was getting tired of it. Then the Jeep started having some issues that made me question its long-term reliability.

With my search for a new vehicle I made the decision that whatever I got would be supercharged. If I supercharged and lifted a new Jeep, I would fully void the warranty. The TRD Pro has a great off-road suspension and the supercharger can be fully factory warrantied if installed by the dealership. You almost can't kill them either. Top it off with finding out just how much of the Tacoma is made in America (and how little Ford/Chevy/GM is) and how Toyota has a history of putting more and more Americans to work and it solidified my brand loyalty shift.

I do plan some minor mods... All I have left on the G4 bed cover install is the weather seals. I am waiting for a warmer day to try and ensure good adhesion. I did a full Ziebart rustproofing and diamondgloss paint treatment to ease my worries of Tacorust. I may go with a full steel rear bumper to add some winter weight and rear tire traction for the charger. Eventually I would like a low profile front bumper/winch mount. Bike fork mounts for sure... I am SO sick of the hitch bike mount I had for my Jeep. That piece of junk would tip 15 degrees to either side when turning.

I will miss the "Jeep club wave" when driving by other Jeep owners, but I will revel in opening my garage door and not having an entire bay taken up by all of my Jeep junk (accessories). In 4 years of ownership I only saw one moment (of stupidity) where the Jeep made anything more of a rock crawling situation that a Taco might have had a hard time with. Saying "watch this" is never a good thing when driving a $40K vehicle.

The truck bed is nice too :)

Good luck with the Marathon seat covers. I ordered mine in Kryphek Typhoon. Early March is the expected delivery date. The wait is worth the custom-made fit.

I'm actually sitting at my local dealership waiting while they install the supercharger (and running boards) now. I can't believe they aren't charging me the expected 10+ hour flat rate. Most people are seeing $800+ install prices. Mine is $375 because their installer has so much experience putting them in and can do it in 4-5 hours. They also matched TRDParts4U pricing!

    ***UPDATE***
The dealership drastically underestimated the time needed to install my supercharger. I would expect anyone after me to see a $1000+ price tag. The installer said that the 2015 kit came with 3x the amount of things that needed to be taken care of and the instlal manual jumped from around 20ish pages to 60.

On a positive note, my dealership never once even mentioned the cost of the install except when the technician said that I was getting a great deal on it. That means that everybody was on the same page from the ground up that the misquote was their problem, not mine. They even paid for a rental car since it would take more than one day.

    I'm impressed!

The kit also comes with the TRD high flow performance air filter.

I have VentShades In-Channel window visors. They're much better than the ones you stick on the upper edge of the door. And, if they ever break (like at the carwash) I won't have to spend my time trying to get all that double sided tape off.
