Some time or other I picked up a screw/nail in my right rear. I was negligent, didn't realize it was there and with low air I caught a curb which bent the rim. Well the repair people said it can't be fixed (crack in a bad place).

So it's time for a new set of wheels & tires.

My Taco is a 2009 access cab with a DJM 3/3 drop & a hellwig rear sway bar.

Will a 18x9.5 w/35mm offset fit? If it will, what size tire? 275/40?

Yes, but I would get 5mm spacers. At 35mm offset, the rims suck into the wheelwell some. Ive had 18x7.5 +35mm, switched to 18x9.5 +26mm offset with the 5mm spacers and Im barely passed the tip of the fender.

As for tires... pref I guess. 225/40's your stretching. There's a tire calculator on this site, it helps you see your current compaired to your new side by side or ontop

Plans changed. I'm going with a 18x8.5 32mm wheel and 245/45 tires. Any thoughts on if/what size spacers I should use?

either a 2/3mm spacer and the rims shouldnt suck in as much.
