    Borla exhaust.
Hello everyone. I am new to the site and know very little about automotive. I have a 2009 Toyota Tacoma 4.0 liter. I just had an exhaust installed, borla. I was thinking about doing the exhaust manifold next but I am not sure if it will be much of a gain. As I say I know very little about cars so if there are some others ways to add horsepower please let me know. Any input and the manifold and other ways to add horsepower would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome Robby! Headers might get you small gains, but if you really want HP you'll need about $6000 for a supercharger.

    Borla exhaust.
Thanks guys. I kind of figured that would be the case but seeing I know a small amount about cars I figured I should ask.

Guys. I need your opinion about Superchargers. what will be better URD or TRD Supercharger?
Not about price, it's almost the same. Aabout stability, quality.

The engine is the exact same, if I had to guess I would say they just haven't verified that it works with the 15's yet as far as electronics and all of that fun stuff.

Depending on whether your truck is under warranty is a big factor in deciding between the URD or TRD superchargers. With the "dealer-installed" TRD supercharger, it falls under your current warranty if you still have a warranty.

Paid $4120.00 for mine and another grand for the installation. By the way, it looks as if it came from the factory.

The TRD internally inter-cooled supercharger package is one way to get the power you are looking for, with 304 horsepower at 5400 rpm and 334 pound-feet at 3600 (gains of 68 horsepower and pound-feet).

It is designed as a Roots-type rotating component in a one piece integral manifold. A water-to-air inter-cooler system with a custom low temperature radiator reduces inlet temperatures for maximum output.
The kit also comes with high-flow fuel injectors and Iridium spark plugs. Boost pressure is around 5-6psi.

A specific re-flash of the ECU is required.

I stepped out of a 2006 GMC Canyon I5 with 220 horse and my supercharged 2014 Tacoma PreRunner feels like a GTO! :)

TRD supercharge has been awesome. I can't imagine needing much more acceleration or power for an off road style setup. IMO the TRD S/C is best option for future resale.
