A couple days ago I was sitting in my truck with some buddies shining my high beams on my little cousins sledding down a hill at night, when all of a sudden my horn starts beeping for no reason. Since then everytime I drive my truck the horn will go off randomly for as little as 10 seconds or as long as a minute or so then stop. I have an alarm, and i have an auto starter on a 2003 4x4 tacoma. The only thing i can think of is that driving around in cold deep snow messed something up but i really dont know. On the same day i was also doing donuts and hit a basketball hoop in the rear end right above the tire, but the damage only seemed cosmetic ( a small dent)

I recently had that issue with my air horns. The relay was corroded and would randomly contact, causing horns to go off.

You could just un plug the horns, or cut the wires.

On my '99 3RZ, the horn fuse is in the main fuse box under the hood.

Just pull the wire off the horn. Put a piece of tape on it just to keep it from bouncing and making contact.

I'll bet a diet Coke the issue is with the alarm, especially if it's over a couple years old.

Aftermarket alarms cause more random electrical issues than anything else I've ever seen. Most often from a lousy installation.

My wife's accord had a Viper remote starter alarm, had it professionally installed. After about 4 years it did the same thing, horn would go off. I pulled the inline fuse from under the dash that was installed with the alarm.
