Can't figure out how much oil I should be adding during an oil and filter change. The Owners Manual states 5.5 quarts w/ filter, but after service I check it it's showing a 1/2 quart low on the dipstick.

I've basically been running it up to 6 quarts with filter, is this bad?

Not sure if anyone else has this issue or not?

I've added as much as 6qts and its right at the top line of the dipstick. The important thing is to keep the oil level between the lines. Too low does more damage than too much. 5.5qts will be just fine.
