Hey guys, so I used the search feature trying to look for anything like this and the only thing I found in about 10 minutes was on a 1st gen with many miles.

I bought a brand new, 2014 TRD OR DCSB a couple weeks ago, haven't had any issues so far however, there is a rough idle it seems. Vibrations in the cabin that you can feel, only in park and neutral. When I'm in gear, those vibrations go away. It has 991 miles as of just getting into my house but I noticed it with 24 miles when I picked it up and didn't think anything of it.

Also this is at running temp with the needle in the middle of the gauge.

Should I call the dealer or is this normal? I've never had a truck before let alone a brand new vehicle and all my other cars had/have poly engine and transmission mounts, so a vibration doesn't really affect me. My dad is the one that actually noticed it and he says something every time he's in it.

Yeah it seems slight to me, I mean after he said it I felt it in my seat but it's weird because it's only in park and neutral (same feel on and off brakes). It doesn't vibrate in the drive gears though.

Do you have your AC compressor on? Or defrost on? Mine idles very rough when the AC compressor is running when I am stopped and the transmission is in drive.

I don't have it in drive, that's why it's do weird to me, I know AC does that that's normal. I haven't used AC since it's been like 10° here on Long Island and I don't remember if I shut the foot heat/defroster off because my dad turned it on lol.

Alright just checking I've never had it happen, feels like it's fluttering. Kinda weird.

For the sake of research, just want to mention that I'm having the same issue in my brand new '15 Tacoma. Noticed it today while sitting in the drive thru to get food. Waves of vibration that occur every 2-3 seconds and are felt in the seat. Feels almost like how an engine bucks and rattles when it's out of gas, but happens in a very rhythmic pattern.

If you google for "Toyota vibration in park" you see similar results from RAV4 and Tundra owners. Perhaps a faulty motor mount design? Could also be an idle air control valve problem.

Vibrations will be worse in park or n because the drive train is not dampening the vibes either.
