Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.
Planning on installing an otrattw switch to replace the Avec switch that came with the light bar. Just want to be 100% sure that I'm doing it right. I get the dash illumination portion of it. Just going to pull the positive and negative from the fog light harness. My question what is the proper transfer to the otrattw switch? My guess would be the black wire on 8, white wire on 3 and blue wire on 2. out going to relay would be the power from battery 3 and incoming from source 2 would be the blue wire correct? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated!

    Since wire colors can vary....

Pin #2 needs to be the wire from the battery or fused switched source
Pin #3 needs to be the wire from Pin 86 of the relay
Pins #7&8 needs to be wired to ground. the jumper wire is ok.
Pin #6 can be jumpered to pin #3 or can be wired into the dash light circuit. your choice.

Fergyz if I do it that way wouldn't the bottom light be on all the time the key switch is turned on or would it still only turn on the light when the interior lights come on? From that diagram it says not to jump the two grounds if I am going to use the neg and pos for the dash dimmer. Ha like I said I'm not an electrician.

    option 1
if pin #2 is powered by a switched power source, you can leave this jumped to pin #6 if you want the lower light lit when the switched power source is powered. i.e. ignition key turned

    option 2
pin #6 can be powered by an illumination circuit wire. pin #8&7 can be jumped together and wired to ground. this will provide full power to the light when parking lights and or headlights turned on.

    option 3
if you want the light to be dimmable by the illumination circuit when parking lights and or headlights turned on, you will wire pin #6 to the 12v in and pin #7 to the 12v out on the illumination circuit.

    an example:
stock foglight switch has a green wire for 12v in and a green/white stripe wire for 12v out.

Got it man thanks. This makes a lot more sense to me now! Of how to hook it up.

So just a recap of what you said to make sure I am understanding the operation portion correctly. I do get which wire goes where now though

Option 1- lower light will come on when I turn the truck on
Option 2- lower light will come on when I turn my trucks lights on
Option 3- will operate how my factory switches operate; turn on with truck lights and will be dimmable

I apologize if I am wasting your time and asking a lot of questions but I am very grateful of your help

You are on the right track. I went back and changed my post a little bit in hopes it clarifies things a little better for other on lookers.
