Do it yourself , will take about 2-3 hours. Dont pay some shop monkey to do it, guaranteed you will do it better.

Wash it good, claybar to get any junk off the paint, give it a good polish with a Meg polish, then wax it up.. and welcome to the rabbit hole of detailing cars..

Get rid of the bath towels, get an absorber for getting the water off but keep it clean - if you drop it on the ground throw it away. Another route is to buy the microfiber cloths at Costco etc, use a clean one for wiping down a few times then it goes into the oil rag pile.

You should also notice that many of the suggestions to use clay bar are followed with the subsequent steps of polish and wax. Clay bar does not do anything to remove the swirls but it does clean off all the contaminants so you don't just grind them into the paint even further with the polish and wax steps. The polish will get rid of the swirls and minor scratching. The comments of 'get used to it, it will happen again' are just plain ridiculous. I fully detail all my vehicles once, sometimes twice a year and they stay looking nice from the time I buy them until the day I sell them. It's not that difficult to keep your paint in good shape (barring trail damage and accidents of course).

 

Get some deeper scratches, then you wont have to worry about the small ones!



Id probablly just polish and wax, if that didnt work...oh well
