Doing my own oil change for the first time on my 2011 DCB TRD OFF ROAD Tacoma 4.0 want to be sure I am draining the right pan . Is it the 14 mm plug all the way to the front of the truck ,it looks like a small pan I believe the long pan to the rear is the trans oil pan:confused:

I'm doing my 06 today as well.

If it is like mine, then the plug is the one where your skid plate has a half circle at the end/middle to access the 14mm drain plug. Also, where your filter housing is there is a rubber stopper at the bottom of the housing to drain the filter of oil. Get a large cup or something to catch the oil. Remove the rubber stopper prior to removing the filter. Hope this helps.
