    Hey Tacoma World!

I'm wanting to do some repairs on my '02 Tacoma with things that are bothering me. I'm wondering if I can and where to buy Genuine Toyota parts outside of a dealer. I'm looking to replace:

    1. Rear bumper with plastic steps...this was damaged when I shipped my truck to Germany on a PCS.
    2. Front cornering light boxes...the driver side has moisture in it.
    3. Plastic piece on the drivers seat...has shown wear from getting in/out of the vehicle.

Let me know if anyone has suggestions on a good way of obtaining genuine Toyota parts.

    Thanks in advance!

Are you wanting new or used? Lots of genuine, used parts in the "first gen marketplace"

Search for the parts or ask for what parts you need. One of the requirements is to have a pic of what you want.

If you want new, I have had great luck ordering from Sparks Toyota.

You might want to consider an aftermarket rear bumper. Will most likely be cheaper than original toyota bumper...and will be a higher quality as well.

Can you buy Genuine parts for any marquee outside of a dealer?

Most all the 'parts stores' you find online are dealer based, some even go so far as to have a shell company so they don't look like a dealer........

I'm not aware of any OE that will provide their parts stream to a non-dealer.

So, curious if the collective here has examples of such?

And be cautious of when/why you insist on Genuine Parts. Let's use the folks who get all spun up over using Toyota oil and oil filters for example. Toyota doesn't make oil, nor do they make filters. And even the supplier of those rebadged items is subject to change every bid cycle. The only thing that 'might' be consistent is the bid specs, the color of a part and a Toyota sticker.

Thanks for the replies and information. It is personal preference, but I'm looking for new parts either OEM or aftermarket. Not interested really in the junk yard route. I will check out the recommendations given.

    Thanks a bunch!
