I need help on deciding for a tire for this 3'' setup. I know some will suggest that there's a billion threads on tire setup and I have looked them up but it seems like most of the threads always end up being trolled or everyone suggest a different tire size leaving me where I started:confused:. I'm planning on getting the icon suspension stage 3 kit and would like a tire that will keep the trimming to basically just minor fender well plastics trimming. the most offroading I plan on doing is beach driving for fishing and mudding since that is the only offroading options there is down here. I was thinking on running 18s but alot of the threads I read suggested 17s better for offroad. I had narrowed the tire size to a 275/65 or 275/70 on 18s and a 285/70 for 17s. which wheel size do you all suggest and what tire size for minimal trimming? I'm also considering either the nitto trail grapplers m/t or toyo open country m/t. Thanks

if you want a 33 inch tire i would recommend skinnys (255/80/17) it will keep trimming to a minimal my friend ran them with no trimming but if not maybe a 265/75/17 is what your looking for

I'm running Icon-4 with 285.65.18's. At a full 3", just remove the flaps. I started at 2" and actually did a little trimming of the over-fender. If I had just pushed it up in the beginning that would not have been required. Also, there are some little flaps in front of the tire. Just take those off.

Ok cool thanks. yea i was just seeing some of the member builds and some were saying no to minimal trim required on a 3" with the 285/65/18. The guy at my local 4wheel shop was suggesting 33x12.5 to have a wide stance but i plan to do some off roading like i mentioned and figured those would require alot of trimming
