So I bought myself the rock light kit.(vision x) well I wanted to hook up the power source to a rocker switch, instead of the cig lighter plug it came with. But there is a power button on the master control box. So I figured if the main power was cut then turned back on that power button on the main box wouldn't stay on(resets itself), I was right, no lights when the power was back on. So as a test I unplugged the cig lighter then HELD the power button and plugged and unplugged the cig lighter, that worked! Lights came on each time after having main power turned off and on.(as long as the power button on the main box was held on) so other than taping or gluing the button down, any one have any ideas on how to get around having to hit two switches for lights to come on?

I thought about just cutting the control box off and hard wiring, but I kinda like all the different strobe style lighting options that little box gives ya.

Did you cut that main master control box(not the one the lights plug into) outta the equation?? Seems if its left the power button would reset every time you hit your rocker switch...

If I leave the lights on, then cut main power....lights do not come back on when power is restored. I have to restore power THEN hit the power button on master control board. Two switches to have lights. Savvy?

Also I am going to cut that plug off and use a rocker I was just using it to test out the system.

Bump...anyone? I know I'm not the only one who bought these to work on a rocker switch in the dash. While still keeping the master control board/box.

I don't wanna have to hit the rocker switch then the power button on the control box(that will be stored outta sight anyway).... when the rocker is flicked off then back on the master control box resets its power button. Forcing me to hit that button as swell. Two motions to get the lights on = no dice.
