Painting Projects

On my 03 Stnd Cab 2WD automatic, I want to touch up a rust area on the rear bumper and repaint the wheels.

Questions needing input:

1. I thought I read that the bumpers were black, but it sure doesn't appear that way in the sunlight. Look like a darker gray color. Anybody know color and color codes so I can match paint. If it makes any difference truck body color is Lunar Mist.

2. Repaint wheels...anybody done it? What kind of paint and color did you use and how did you do it, i.e paint on vehicle, take off wheels and tires or remove tire from wheel?

 

I found bumper paint match at O'Reillys yesterday, spray can. Maybe PO had done this before.

Still would like input on painting the steel wheels
