    I'm looking to upgrade my current stereo to play DVD and possibly have navigation. I was looking at the jensen vx7010. Does anyone have information on this unit or know of other units like it?

    I want to avoid double din for 2 reasons. First I already have a single din installed and don't want to buy another dash surround. And second I don't want prying eyes to become sticky fingers.

    Thank you.

    Jensen is garbage man. No offense, but it is.

    Stick with something from one of the big 3 (Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer) and you'll be much happier. Pretty sure they all make a single din DVD deck with a flip up screen.

    * edit

    Actually looks like Pioneer is the only one still making one of those. And it doesn't have nav. I'd still take that any day over a Jensen with nav.

    I agre w TT - junk nav software just for the sake of having nav, is more of a PITA than a helpful thing.

    Clarion still makes a single din flip up 7" screen with Nav - not cheap but decent features. I haven't used one, I'm just judging based on features. Model NZ503.

    Looks like they make a non-nav unit too

    I'm looking at this for a single DIN since I need room for a bank of carling switches. I agree that most of the Jensen products are sub-par compared to the big 3 but I have done quite a bit of research lately and haven't seen anything like this thing for my purpose. It is well reviewed and seems to be manufactured to a higher quality standard...almost OEM as far as the buttons and finish.
