SC chatter at idle is typically normal. New TRD exhaust will smoke for the first few miles or so, mine did on both my tacos.

Installed the TRD SuperCharger and cat back exhaust. The supercharger isn't any louder than a four barrel I had on a chevy years ago. When you stand on it it does get louder but thats what I want so the guy falling behind me says "damn that Taco's supercharged." Like the cat back's throaty rumble. Very happy with the TRD combo if you can afford it recommend it. 32% HP increase and 25% more torque makes a real difference. Also, TRD equipment is very high quality plus functions as advertised.

I know you are supposed to use premium gas with the SC but I wondered if you were stuck somewhere and all you had was 97 ethanol would it work in a pinch?

Also, if you are using non-ethanol gas do you still need to use premium and are there any other good/bad issues with non-ethanol gas?

I put 53 lb tires on with the supercharger. I get between 16 and 18 mpg.
