I remember reading on here about someone who drained their transmission by accident, and then drove to work before they realized what they had done. They had to get it trailered to a dealer from their work if I remember right. So yeah, not a stupid question at all. There are mixed opinions about Fumoto valves but I just put one on my truck this last oil change. It's only been a couple weeks but so far I like it. You might look into something like that to make future oil changes a little more simple.

Nice. I owned a 69 Dart GT convertible I never should have sold. My neighbor is the brother of "Miss Rampage" a lady that was sponsored by Dodge in the early to mid 60's. She drove I think a 65 Coronet. She'd wear her helmet so no one knew who it was then after she laid a beating on them she'd take off her helmet, her long blonde hair would drop down to her ass and the boys would find out they were just beaten by a girl.

I love the 67-69 darts too. I'm partial to the 67 GTs with the extra trim and badging. Passed on a 67 GT convertible that had too much rust but came factory with custom order 999 paint code turquoise. There are some late 67 383 GTs that slipped out, love to find one of those.

Have a cousin with a Black with white interior 69 GTS 340 convertible that's sweet.

I work with a guy that has 2 of the cleanest low mileage (and I mean 75 mileish-1/4 mile at a time) 69 Spaulding 440 Darts. One is white with black interior and black tail stripe the other is black with saddle(?) tan interior and red tail stripe. The same guy also has 2 of the rarest 70 Chevelle SS 454 M22 cars 1 white with black stripes the other is black with white stripes.

I had to take a second look for the oil pan as well. I didn't see it under the skid plate or whatever. Generally transmission pans have bolts all the way around but I wanted to be sure so I double checked online.

+ another, I have never figured how someone that has ever changed oil could mix them up. I think it is the skid plate and the fact that Tacoma's have a drain plug on the tranny pan which most do not. Even with that a tranny looks like a tranny.

Lots of good advice here, but most missed THE most important part of an oil change. And that would be the beer.
