I had the Toyota dealer do the appraisal they did a KBB and black book appraisal. It went well and from what I've heard its all you need.

I took the truck home and inspected it because my truck is black and I need a light. There were just some small lining and cracking on the front bumper they repainted. The only thing with that is you can only see it under a flashlight, but during the day or night its impossible to see and the paint job looks great so I'm over that one.

On the back of my cab where it meets the bed there were a bunch of scratch in a square like pattern it was weird. Because of how they put the bed on I'm not sure how that happened he think its from when one of his guys was doing the touch up work he might have had a belt on or something.

Back to the front they didn't replace the piece that goes around the grill and you could tell were it made contact with the car in front of me so it was scratched up, also one of the clips where it clips into the bumper had broke so it was popping out.

On the rear bumper the middle plastic foot piece the one right above the hitch came right off. I stepped on it to take my tire out and it just ripped off I was like what the fuck.

Other then that they did a fucking awesome job I don't want it to seem like they did crap work. All the lines on the bumper, rear tail gate, front bumper, and they bed are actually perfect just like stock. The paint on the rear tail gate is immaculate, the truck drives amazing just like factory. The frame work they did was really good. The rear hitch looks great.

All the stuff i'm listing really is small stuff but important to me. So I brought it back to them and no questions asked they are ordering all new parts and will fix all scratches.

The guy said he was very sorry and the shop they work in isn't that well lite and because its black with no lighting it can be hard to see scratches. What ever he said all of it would be taken care of no questions asked. I'm happy I still love it.

I guess I could but they will fix everything. The guy promised it would be just as good as factory when I they were done.

I mean the truck diminished either way. Its worth approximately $3797 dollars less. That's what I demanded in my letter I sent with it. If anyone wants the letter I sent it just let me know I'll email it you.

Look at cars at angles. I guess I see it more from being in the industry, I can spot a repainted from 300 yards. Most noticeable when they re spray a panel instead of whole side.

Geico just came back with a letter saying that my documention that I sent it was sufficent enough to prove the value was diminished. Not sure what to do now.

I'm considering using this auto appraisal company up in LA Auto Mediator Diminished value. Its $599 and of course they tell you that its legit and everything but I'm not sure.
