I am beginning this thread to provide an unbiased no bullshit assessment of my alignment experience + results from this establishment.

Oasis was recommended by SDHQ next door ( They share the same roof in the complex ) and was surprised at the recommendation as typically SDHQ would send their customers 'another' way. Well . . . having gone that way twice the alignments were not as quality as I had hoped. My criteria of quality is simply that the alignment keep the wheels at factory spec and they stay that way with normal on road driving. Which did Not occur when I went to the 'Other' shop.

My initial experience with Oasis was a consultation in which the shop manager had gone out and physically inspected the vehicle. Requested that I drive the vehicle forwards / backwards, essentially throw it in forward go 2 feet, stop short, throw it in reverse go 2 feet stop short. Immediately he found that the long bolt that holds the driver side upper control arm needed more tightening as he noticed a slight flex. He also noted that the toe 'in' was off and needed to be corrected. The shop manager request I return the next day at 9:30 am to get the truck aligned. Unfortunately I arrived closer to 10 am and there was another vehicle on the rack. The time was just after 12:00 when my truck when it finally hit the alignment rack ( make your appt times people - lesson learned ) and after about 40 mins the shop manager came out and told me that the truck was not able to achieve factory alignment spec as configured. He apologized for not being able to align the truck and offered a straight forward solution. He explained why the truck would not align and how the components were not compatible. He suggested that I acquire a hiemed UCA and he would be able to resolve the alignment issue. He apologized again for the wait time ( even tho it was me who was late ) and then stated that he would not be charging me for the service performed or for his time.

As some here know ( from another thread ) I had the wrong components installed in unison which where creating the issue. Short recap, UCAs were not compatible with my lifted spindles. The UCAs have built in camber correction for 4X4 vehicles that utilize coil overs to provide lift resulting in more positive camber. The UCAs are designed with more negative camber correcting the positive camber on 4X4 vehicles. My lifted spindles are designed to work with the factory components or after market components that retain the factory geometry. Such as Heimed uppers.

I am Not slamming the DSM UCAs Nor the Maxtrac lifted spindles. I believe they are BOTH great products are more than capable of exceeding the factory components regarding strength, durability and function. I will continue to use the Maxtrac spindles and will remand the DSM UCAs so someone whom has the proper configuration IE: 4X4 vehicle or 2X4 vehicle using spacer or coil over lift.

I am happy to report that as of last night (with the help of a great guy Juanito ) the geometry issue has been corrected by installing Icon Heimed UCAs. I have spoken with the Oasis shop manager this morning and scheduled the time on the rack for Monday morning at a price of $69. I am at work at the moment, however pictures will be provided to detail what the specifics were, are now and how they end up.

Thank You All for your time . . .
