    I bought a new fuel door and it didn't come with the part that keeps it closed. The piece of metal that latches on to the plastic insert was missing on the new fuel door cover. I've looked high and low for this tiny piece, does anyone know where to get it or the part number???? Its off a 2001 tacoma.

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    call or stop by your dealer, I think they are the only ones who have a detailed enough parts list to show that.

    that's what I had to do to get the little rubber bumpers for mine. no one else even shows such parts

    It's called a lock cylinder pawl. Dealership or salvage yard. Will look for a part number right quick.

    also if there is no rush to get it, ask for or look in the for sale threads, lots of people selling parts off old trucks
