Have you guys heard the song Smoke by Florida Georgia Line? Its the only country song I have found that mentions a Tacoma. He says "Lonely little lipstick kisses on the hood of our Tacoma"

Yee yee!! My friends and I have talked for years about how it's all chevys and Ford's in country songs.. Crazy that the band whose big hit was about a "brand New Chevy with a lift kit" would then have a song about a tacoma

The mention is cool, but this band in particular is the epitome of how terrible glam pop country has gotten. The music is annoying at best nonsense written by congealed morons in nashville cranking out what they think will sell to the plebes that buy this nonsense. And these musicians dress and act gayer each and every year; not that there is anything wrong with it but it is what it is. I am a musician that lived in Nashville so my opinions may be a bit harsh tbh

I agree 100% with you that they are not country, but most of the songs they play on "country" stations aren't country. I like Old country better.

Haha yeah, I can definitely agree with where you are coming from. While I do enjoy some of their songs, there is definitely a part of me that sees the "teeny bop hipster country" that is Florida Georgia line. I've seen them a few times in concert. The last time was at a huge festival in Texas they were headlining. My buddy and I happened to score a front row area for free cuz our buddy was working security. At one point in the beginning of the show the short haired dude from the band came right up to us trying to get everybody to see how cool he was and get a cheer from the crowd, and my buddy, with his Nirvana shirt and cut off jeans kinda gave him this stare like "dude your music is a joke, you are no better than Justin Beiber look..." They definitely made eye contact and needless to say, he never came close to our side of the stage again.

Yep it is terrible I am hands down a better musician and that isnt saying much. Mainstream country died in the 90s. I just sit around and play my DAC records over and over fuck it

I cant remember the name of the video, but on YouTube somebody made a mash up of all the top county songs of the last few years, when side by side they all sound the same, same beats, same melodies, same rhythm i think fl ga line has a song or 2 mixed in it. Just goes to show the same writers make all the same stuff, change a few lyrics and guitar riffs and call it a day.
