I recently sold by '02 Ex Cab V6 4x4 and bought a '00 Ex cab 4cyl 4x4. I have a set of Icons I used on the 02 that I took off before I sold it and though about using them on the 4cyl truck. I'm not sure if the 650lb spring rate will be too much for the lighter 2.7 motor. I thought about selling them and getting either some OME's or possibly AllPro's or Toytecs since they offer 500 and 550lb rates. Anyone have any thoughts? Or anyone have experience with front suspension on the older 2.7's?

Swap the springs on your Icon's if the spring rate is too stiff...problem solved.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
    Any suggestions on replacement springs?
Looks like Icon only offers 650 or 700. Swayaway has 12" or 14" but no 13" listed on the website. I couldn't find anything on the Eibach site. Just the lift coils that toytec sells online.

Best bet is call Down South Motorsports or SDHQ, They'll get you on the right path.

Toytech uses eibach springs. I believe they are 3" id 14" long. Just measure your icon springs id and length and check out eibach's website.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably run them as is and see how it goes. Looks like DWMS has quite a few king springs I could use if I change them out. Also, it sounds like Icon does a great job of custom valving and spring matching as well.
