Sorry for yelling, bad idea pulling sample from the bottom of a pan, just need to figure a way to pull sample downstream from oil filter on a pressurized oil line

Why is it a bad Idea to pull from your pan? If you are showing metal etc it would certainly be there and in a running truck that is circulating right?

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Why not do a oil catch can? You'd be getting oil into it on occasion, but not sure if it's what you are looking for.

Yeah, put it in one of these.
Just plug or cap one side, install your sample port on the other.

A metric shit-ton of companies make them. I can't remember the thread pitch offhand.
I've been thinking about getting an Amsoil adapter to run a bypass filter system.

Edit: Looks like 3/4-16 for thread.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Why not use the remaining oil from your filter?

You usually take a sample during an oil change and right from the filter shouldn't give a "tainted" sample.

From reading these threads and former folks who use one the Greddy seems to be the best rated sandwich plate. Just an FYI. I have one and it hasn't leaked yet.
