In regards to the chrome door handle adhesive tape, is it pretty much like anthing else that air bubbles can get trapped under if you don't apply evenly? I always thought guys actually bought the actual chrome door handles.

As for the chrome exhaust tip, I will check ebay and Amazon for cheaper prices vs going to a muffler shop. Are most attached with the ease of a screw that secures it in place or what?

Have only looked at the oil filter from top and I remember when a guy I used to work with bought his 03 or 04, I remember him saying something about the oil filter was a pain to get to so since I haven't crawled up under yet to check for how hard it is to get to, enlighten me ;)

Also, not sure what brand of oil has been put in the truck before and I remember there being a saying of stick with what the truck has always had. I' guess I will have to change it though not knowing ;) I run Pennzoil in my other 2 vehicles.

Most guys remove the chrome, but good for you, I like chrome too :p
I'm not sure about the tape, first i ever heard of it. I would imagine it depends on how thick the tape is.

I think most chrome tips have a screw or two to hold them on.

Oil filter is best accessed through the drivers side fenderwell, turn the wheel to full left and remove the rubber splash guard if it's still there.
Toyota brand oil filter is the best you can buy and often cheaper than the others. Oil brand is up to you. I like Castrol.

Just undo the splash guard enough to reach the filter and then clip it back on. Mine is down to two-three clips and it stays just fine. Some remove it completely, although it will keep the engine bay a little cleaner if you keep it.
The little plastic plug/clips can be found at any parts store if they break.

Dealer is the only place I know of for the filter.

Just changed my oil yesterday. Didn't have to turn the wheel to get to the filter. Probably would have been easier but I just reached in over the tire and unscrewed it.

I had a work truck with the chrome door handle overlays. I used very thin 3m two sided tape to put mine back on after one started coming loose. I applied it to the overlay first and then installed on the door. I wouldn't worry too much about the air bubbles

My splash guard is held on with plastic push rivets. I snap them out then snap them back on. I leave it on to help keep the electric stuff dry and the engine compartment a little cleaner.
