It took me much too long to finally get off my ass and debadge my tailgate but I'm glad that I did! I added the red TRD emblem and it looks awesome!

Thanks guys! I know it's a just a simple thing but...

If you guys are putting it off due to the difficulty, like I was, don't! It was so easy! Honestly, it took like a total of 30 minutes. I used some 8lb test fishing line, which I recommend against because it breaks too easy... but it's what I had. I was surprised how easy it sawed the emblems right off. The adhesive peeled off fairly easy with my fingers/finger nails and with a little goof off and bug and tar remover it was all off.
I washed the tailgate with soap and water then used isopropyl alcohol right before I put the new emblem on. I also used some blue painter's tape just above the body line to make sure the emblem went on straight.
Oh, I had it in the sun for a few hours prior so it was warm, that helped allot!

I guess it's for the same reason you might choose one color of shirt or a specific style of shoes. I kind of consider my truck as a accessory of my life and in a small way, this is an understated expression of my tastes.
